One Cat Farm: Ceredigion

One Cat Farm is a luxury, off grid cabin stay in a secluded woodland nature reserve is West Wales and the clients needed extra space in their cottage for their growing family and business.  The new rooms project into the garden at the rear of the house to create a large, open plan kitchen and a new master bedroom with dressing area and en-suite with direct access to a new garden terrace.  These dressing and bathroom have been positioned between the noisy, shared space of the kitchen and the peaceful retreat of the bedroom to provide acoustic separation and a privacy between the spaces.  The extension entirely built form natural and local materials using a timber frame insulated with with wood fiber insulation and will be completed externally in local reclaimed slate and a corrugated metal roof to match.
